What Does Chick-fil-A’s Banner Day Really Mean?

I have never eaten at Chick-fil-A. I did so on Wednesday when folks were urged to show support for the latest liberal incursion on the Constitution. Mayors from Boston, San Francisco and Chicago made it clear they didn’t want the fast-food restaurant in their cities and they would take steps to make sure of it.

Why?

Because the owner said he believes in the traditional definition of a marriage. A man and a woman. He also contributes money to groups that support this belief.

Has Chick-fil-A discriminated against hiring gays? No. Has Chick-fil-A discriminated against serving gays? No. Is there ANY EVIDENCE ANYWHERE that Chick-fil-A has broken any laws or violated anyone’s human rights? No.

Do those small, thorny facts bother the three Mayors? Apparently not.

So what happened when former Governor Huckabee asked people to show up on Wednesday to show their support? The restaurants were packed. They ran out of chicken! They had a world record day!

Oh, did I mention the stores employ tens of thousands of Americans? Do the three Mayors care about that senseless piece of information?

Let’s call these idiots “The Three Mayors” along the lines of “The Three Stooges.”

Using my iPhone, I filmed what it was like inside the Chick-fil-A where I was.

It was essentially wall-to-wall people. I counted about 40-50 people waiting for their food after having ordered. An easy 30-40 sitting down, enjoying their meal and chatting away. Another 10 or so waiting in line to order. The cars for the drive-through went all around the building. Hmm, my math comes up with around a 100 people in a fast-food restaurant at one time.

Why were they there?

Was it a “gay thing”? Maybe for some. But for the VAST majority, it was about this document that is very annoying to liberals: The Constitution. They love it when it goes their way, hate it when it gets in the way of their beliefs and agenda.

In this case, the owner believed something different than hard-core liberals believe. So liberal Mayors (and others) decided these restaurants needed to be attacked.

THE RESTAURANTS!

And their staff, their product, their very existence.

Because the owner felt strongly that a traditional marriage should be between a man and a woman.

Oops, didn’t our President hold that same view until just a few months ago? So, why didn’t Rahm Emanuel (now Mayor of Chicago) stop working for him?

Oops, don’t a good number of Muslims (those who follow Sharia law) believe that homosexuality is so evil, that, per their own religious dictates, a gay person can be killed for being gay? So did the Mayor of Boston contact the leaders of all of the mosques in Boston and tell them to get out town?

I don’t think so.

The liberals can selectively hate and attack because, well, because they say so. Whatever moves their cause along, and damn that free speech thing and the First Amendment.

What does Chick-fil-A’s banner day really mean? It means when hard left haters try to bully past the Constitution, there’s still plenty of folks around who say, “No. Not on my watch!”

And Mr. Mayors of Boston, Chicago and San Fran, we still vote in this country. Despite your attempts to send Daffy Duck and dead people to the voting polls, every single one of these bone-headed, disgusting acts of yours just sends more of us there.

Thank you!
